Team RWB regional directors came to Gainesville, FL along their road trip and joined us at Kanapaha Veterans Memorial Park for an afternoon workout. We focused our efforts on plyometrics and upper body strength. It was a nice day and we had enough time to grab some delicious burgers at Loosey’s in Haile Plantation.
This photograph was taken at the 2nd annual Blue Wilderness Hero Run 5k with 10 Can Inc. at our Grow Hub location. This is a fundraiser for the non profit 10 Can Inc. which aids wounded first responders and their families through recreational therapies, nature therapies and youth retreats for their children. We had a great turnout for the run, the trail was a new challenge, created with different elevations and we exceeded our fundraising goals. Team RWB came through with the volunteers and participants.
Our first ruck event in Gainesville was a success. Alligators, snakes and other natural creatures can be seen on these swamp trails. Gainesville is filled with all sorts of nature trails and bike routes that lead to beautiful sceneries. The company GoRuck hosted a light challenge in April 2018 and we had another great turnout with RWB members. If you enjoy these type events, I would suggest coming out with our group and having some fun.
